4.2.4 OMG it's TXTing - Reflection on The implication of slang and comics

... when technology gets faster, we (teachers) get to disaster faster! in the above comic that i made, the good teacher is loosing morale and interest in delivery just because the learners have have had a rift in technology...they talk slowly ill of him as a stone age teacher, and hence they get bored eventually loosing track.
As educators we have to collaborate and work as team, in the above comic that we made with Joan one notes that the learners left while jolly and learning seemed to have taken place.
i have learnt how to make comics and make learning enjoyable.
earlier i enjoyed learning about slang and have noticed them being used in some departments however this needs one that is in employment as training using slang will mislead concepts that follow processes.
with this we shall me making presentation in quality and motivating.

4.1 A CHANGING LANDSCAPE.

Today’s learners can use a variety of technologies to access knowledge resources and interact globally with people.
These interactions create a digital society that affords learners opportunities for education, entertainment and social interaction. Most of today’s children are comfortable using technology, but may not use it efficiently, effectively or appropriately. Teachers can create learning experiences that foster specific digital literacy skills. They can also help learners understand their roles and responsibilities as responsible digital citizens who can participate in the knowledge economy.
I have learnt that  i need to learn more about the internet so that i get to search from verified sites that have academic authors when am getting reference to my content.

I have observed that the internet has all sorts of things so the learners can’t exactly get what the search for most especially for assignment purposes.
However Google is okay  but off course is not adequate for learners searching for credible information because Google searches only provide popularity content which makes it unreliable.
i have also learnt the eight elements of digital literacy

http://dougbelshaw.com/ebooks/digilit/
they help a teacher to fit placed in a digital age.
i have also been introduced to wordle that i had never used before.
this will help me to design teachable content much easily.

 Basing on the wordle that i created above, i was considering the following;
the government will need to draft good digital policies for the institutions thus achieving the Uganda vision 2040 which mentions above a digital age.
There is a strong desire to have strong teachers and leaders to percieve this digital age rightly and conceptualize it to make good plans for institutions and constructive ideas from principals to mention but  few.
the implementation will need experts of knowledge, curriculum developers and pedagogy that will provide good sustainability.

i have also learnt alot from other wordles like

i was also motivated to work harder by the video showing the eight elements of digital literacy
in summary we are in the digital age and it is us instructors and teachers to change the landscape for the better. trainees needed to be guided so that they get right and reliable content.
